We are looking for technicians with two to five years experience! We provide continued development and manufacturer specific training.

Job Summary

Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair.

What you will do

  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Woodhouse and factory standards
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs
  • Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
  • Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Road test vehicles when required or refers to the test technician
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know, as well as manufacturer technical bulletins
  • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
  • Ensure that customer’s cars are kept clean. Notify service advisor immediately if anything changed the appearance or condition of the vehicle
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management

What you need

  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record

Job Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of diesel engine systems
  • High level of customer service

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs. independently (depending upon dealership/manufacturer). Must be able to move parts and boxes weighing between 5 and 50 lbs. up to 100 yards, up to 20 times per day.
